A Bold Vision of Sustainability in Western Colorado
AIA Colorado West will conduct community design charrettes in eight 8
major Western Colorado communities to discuss ways in which the AIA
Position Statement on High Performance Buildings can be translated into
reality on the Western Slope. The information generated in the
charrettes will then be assimilated into booklets for each community to
include in their future planning and operations. The intent of the
program is to create a powerful and enduring impact in each of the
communities and Western Colorado. The communities that will be targeted
are: Summit County, Eagle County, Roaring Fork Valley, Steamboat
Springs, Grand Junction, Durango, Telluride, and Crested Butte.
